Introduction
Modern slavery encompasses slavery, servitude, forced labour, and human trafficking. Coffee Cup Solutions has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking.
We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships, and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or in any of our supply chains. This is in line with our obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Policy Scope
This policy applies to all persons working for us or on our behalf in any capacity, including employees at all levels, directors, agency workers, volunteers, apprentices, agents, contractors, consultants, and business partners.
Responsibility
The Directors of Coffee Cup Solutions hold overall accountability for this policy. The Office Manager is responsible for implementing this policy, monitoring its effectiveness, and conducting regular audits to ensure compliance.
Training
Modern slavery awareness training is provided to all employees as part of their induction process and is reinforced through regular internal communications.
Breaches
Any employee found in breach of this policy will face disciplinary action, which could result in dismissal. We encourage the reporting of concerns and aim to ensure that no one suffers any detrimental treatment as a result of reporting in good faith their suspicion that modern slavery is or may be taking place.
Supplier Standards
We take a risk-based approach to our contracting processes and assess whether specific prohibitions against the use of modern slavery should be included in our contracts with suppliers. We carry out audits to determine the level of compliance with our expectations.
Where a supplier is found to be in severe breach of this policy, we reserve the right to terminate the business relationship immediately.
